theoldchapel

About

This former Primitive Methodist chapel is located on the high street in the old village. Carved into the stone above the door is 1858, the year the chapel was consecrated. The chapel was one of the main places of worship in the village until the much larger chapel next door was constructed (now the Captain Cook Museum). It has been tastefully modernised to create the ideal base for an extended family break. The property sleeps up to eight and is pet friendly.

The property opens into an open plan living space with large sofas, flat screen TV and a log fire. There is a kitchenette with a microwave oven and a dishwasher. There is a large games room with table football and plenty of games to keep families entertained. The ground floor also features a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower.

On the first floor is a large master bedroom with a super king size bed, a bathroom and large dining room with sofas and a flat screen TV. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and is well equipped with dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle.

Another staircase leads to the top floor where there is a king size bedroom and a twin room. Both rooms have velux windows and lots of storage space. Similar to many properties in the village there is no outside space or parking available at the property. The main village car park is a ten minute walk from the property. The beach, local pubs and cafes are a few minutes walk away.
